We are a network of caring individuals who, with their dogs or other pets, provide animal assisted therapeutic benefit to people of all ages in a variety of situations.

A Message From Our Patron

Hello, I'm Harvey.

I was honoured to take over the role of Patron from Milo who has been a much revered figurehead for WAG since it’s inception.

Milo and I had a good heart to heart at a reception at Government House when he passed on a few tips so I felt quite confident! I had already met many of the WAG dogs on the ‘Ten Walks Ten Weeks Ten Parishes’ walks.

I am proud to say that I have now become a WAG therapy dog myself and visit patients in Roustel Ward with my mum Dr Nikki Brink. I am sure I bring a smile to people’s faces when I sit on their lap for a cuddle. I am delighted to welcome Mustard to WAG as our Honorary President, as you will see from his profile he is a very interesting chap.

A Message From Our Honorary President

Hello I’m Mustard

His dad, the Lt Governor Lt General Richard Cripwell tells us that Mustard recently celebrated his eleventh birthday and is loving life on Guernsey. His travels in the past took him to Cyprus, which was a little too hot and to Washington DC in America, which was often very humid. The weather here suits him just fine and a combination of cliff paths, beaches and quiet tracks allows him to have lovely walks, assuming the Cripwells can keep up. His favourite activity is eating, especially his birthday meal of chicken and rice and he always likes to be cuddled, stroked and generally loved. This happens a great deal and life on this beautiful island means he is a very happy dog.

Organise a visit

Our dog volunteers are amazing at providing company and comfort to many people. If you think you, or someone you know, might benefit from spending time with our dogs, why not organise a visit?
